Making restaurant staff, with limited time and access to computers, aware of all the benefits that they receive by working for McDonald’s. The group is primarily aged from 18-25, therefore the statements had to be delivered in a style and format that would engage this age group effectively.
We created visually exciting, icon-led, PDF statements delivered via the employee’s mobile phone, which detailed all of the benefits employees receive, from competitive pay to healthcare, and flexible working to pensions.
Feedback from the business suggested this demographic would be most likely to access their statements on their smartphones or tablets, and therefore the decision was made to send them out as mobile friendly PDFs attached to branded emails. The statements were sent directly to employees’ personal email addresses.
For added impact, each statement was fully personalised showing the individual’s name on the cover, plus information such as the date and value of their next service award, their date of eligibility for healthcare and their level of life assurance.
This project was completed at the end of August, just in time for the McDonald’s internal Viewpoint survey taking place in early September. So far, the client had great feedback from across the business.
