Creativity is at the heart of what we do, so what better way to spend one of our team away days than immersing ourselves in creative thinking. The whole team put client work on hold to take part in a ‘Creative Ninja’ training day run by Claire Bridges (see website here). Claire firmly believes that creativity is something that can be taught, and everyone in the team – however creative they thought they were at the beginning – came away with a new way of thinking. It was a fantastic day.
The philosophy behind the course is ‘Life’s too short to stare at a blank piece of paper’, with the aim of the session being to up the ante on creativity, and to equip us with more skills and tools to generate brilliant creative ideas.
We explored what can occasionally cause creative blocks, and how to work through these, as well as various different approaches to chasing creativity. After an intensive day that gave us all a real brain workout, we came away feeling as though we had learnt something new, including a set of tools to help us continue to think differently and bring the best ideas to our clients.
